lowkey – Community Guidelines

lowkey is all about genuine connections. To keep our community awesome, we ask everyone to follow these simple guidelines. Be yourself, be kind, and respect others.

The Golden Rule

Treat others the way you'd want to be treated. Behind every profile is a real person with real feelings. A little kindness goes a long way.

✅ Do

Be respectful – Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, regardless of their background, appearance, or beliefs.
Be authentic – Use real, recent photos of yourself. Be honest about who you are.
Be kind – A genuine compliment or friendly message can make someone's day.
Communicate clearly – If you're not interested, it's okay to say so politely. Ghosting happens, but kindness is better.
Report concerns – If something feels off, report it. You're helping keep the community safe.
Respect boundaries – No means no. If someone isn't interested, respect their decision and move on.

🚫 Don't

Bully or harass – No insults, threats, intimidation, or repeated unwanted contact. Zero tolerance.
Send inappropriate content – Keep it respectful. Unsolicited explicit content is never okay.
Discriminate – Hate speech based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic is not allowed.
Catfish or impersonate – Don't pretend to be someone you're not. Fake profiles will be removed.
Spam or scam – No soliciting, advertising, or trying to deceive other users.
Share others' info – Don't share screenshots of conversations or personal information without consent.
Use violent or threatening language – Any threats of harm will be taken seriously and reported to authorities if necessary.

Keep Yourself Safe

Protect your personal info – Don't share your address, financial details, or other sensitive information with people you've just met.
Meet in public – If you decide to meet someone in person, choose a public place and let a friend know your plans.
Trust your instincts – If something feels wrong, it probably is. Don't hesitate to block, report, or leave.
Take your time – There's no rush. Get to know someone before sharing personal details or meeting up.

Your safety is our priority. If you encounter anyone who makes you feel uncomfortable or violates these guidelines, please report them immediately.

How to report:

In the app: Tap the menu icon on any profile or conversation and select "Report"

All reports are reviewed by our team and kept confidential. We take every report seriously and will take action against accounts that violate our guidelines, including permanent bans.

In case of emergency or immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services.
